Kelsey Wiedenhoefer

 

is a movement specialist, entrepreneur, self-care aficionado and proponent of balanced living. She was destined for a life and career in movement as a member of a long lineage of athletes, dancers, and teachers. Her love for all things movement and teaching it to others is in her blood. 

Kelsey is a BASI Pilates comprehensively certified Pilates teacher, a Level 3 Fascial Stretch Specialist, receiving the highest level of training through the Stretch to Win Institute, and served as a Master Barre Instructor for Tracey Mallett Fitness. She also has an extensive background as an NCAA college athlete, university professor, and a stint in sales for a Fortune 100 company, and credits her ability to think big to the diversity of these experiences.

She now owns and operates Move With Studio in the East Bay of California and shares her ethos of conscious movement with international clientele of all backgrounds. She has extensive experience in working with those new to the Pilates method,  clients rehabbing from major injuries, pre and postnatal mothers, as well as professional athletes. As a teacher, her instruction celebrates movement that connects mind with body. Her confluence of training, movement, and care for the body acutely represents why Kelsey’s clients are devoted to her system. Her practice is centered around developing strength and physical awareness that lead one to live life with increased poise, flexibility, and confidence. 

She has built her brand, under the tenets that it is all connected - movement is life and life is movement.

PILATES

Pilates with Kelsey is grounded in the original work and principles of Joseph Pilates, but takes a modern twist with a focus on functional movement and building efficient strength and mobility. It is ever evolving and can be tailored to each body that is in the studio on any given day. It truly is for every body. Kelsey teaches through an evidence-based movement practice which focuses on developing core strength, fine motor skills and body awareness. She encourages self-efficacy and promotes empowerment. Her instruction is meant to create a lasting connection between mental and physical wellbeing.


FASCIAL STRETCH THERAPY

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a form of bodywork that is a dynamic and effective way to care for your body. It targets fascia, the most prevalent connective tissue in the body, and supports every aspect of movement  — muscles, tendons, organs, ligaments, and nerves. It can increase flexibility, reduce aches and pains, and improve range of motion. Kelsey is a level 3 Fascial Stretch Therapist and has worked with countless high-profile professional athletes and teams throughout the years.


BARRE

Kelsey’s approach to teaching barre focuses on combining both full range-of-motion and isometric movements that target the entire body. Her barre classes increase strength, stability and heart rate. Movement sequences are frequently set to the beat of music where she incorporates her prolific playlists into each class.
